Joseph G. Murphy, MD, has been on staff at Mayo Clinic for over 30 years. He holds the academic rank of Professor of Medicine in the College ofMedicine, Mayo Clinic. He has been editor of Mayo Clinic Cardiology from itsinception and is author of over 50 peer-reviewed journal articles and nearly100 book chapters. Nandan S. Anavekar, M.B., B.Ch
, is a Professor of Medicine and a consultant in theCardiovascular Department and Radiology Department at Mayo Clinic. His mainclinical interest is the management of diseases of the pericardium, diseases ofthe aorta cardiac infections, as well as critical care cardiology. He is authorof over 200 journal publications.
