Patricia Vergara:

Dr. PatriciaVergara is an orthodontist and dental educator with extensive academic andclinical experience in orthodontics, occlusion, and skeletal anchorage. Sheearned her dental degree from the Universidad Metropolitanade Barranquilla and completed her specialization in Orthodontics at theUniversidad Militar Nueva Granada CIEO.

She is a memberof the Sociedad Colombiana de Ortodoncia (SCO) andASOCIEO, and has held academic appointments as Associate Clinical Professor ofOrthodontics at the Universidad de Cartagena, as well as teaching positions atthe Universidad de Antioquia in Colombia and the Universidad Católica SanAntonio de Murcia in Spain.

Dr. Vergara haspursued advanced international training in contemporary orthodontic techniques.Her postgraduate education includes training in MEAW (Multiloop Edgewise ArchWire) therapy with Dr. Sadao Sato at Kanagawa Dental College, Japan; studies inocclusion with Dr. Rudolf Slavicek in Vienna, Austria; and advanced training inextra-alveolar mini-implant anchorage with Dr. Chris Chang in Taiwan.

She has alsoparticipated as an invited lecturer and clinical observer at internationalscientific events and institutions in the United States, Indonesia, Romania,Brazil, and the United Arab Emirates.

Her professionalinterests focus on orthodontic biomechanics, occlusion, skeletal anchorage, andadvanced treatment strategies, and she is an experienced international lecturercommitted to continuing education and the dissemination of contemporary orthodonticknowledge.
